Timeline — 1 event
- 1977-10-17 Leland Jackson, 39, of Zalma ran off the road trying to avoid a passing car about 8:40 p.m. Saturday on Highway 51 five miles north of Puxico; his 1974 Chevrolet pickup came back across the road, ran off the road and overturned several times, stopping about 200 feet off the road in a wooded lot. He spent the night trapped inside the wrecked truck and was found pinned in the wreckage Sunday afternoon; taken to a Cape Girardeau hospital in serious condition.
