- 1977-11-02 Jesse Moody Barnes, 77, of Jackson, Tenn., died Oct. 20 at the Jackson County Medical Hospital after a long illness. Mr. and Mrs. J. Michael Barnes and children of the Bell City community returned home after attending his funeral. Survivors: wife Mrs. Inez Barnes; sons J. Michael Barnes and Charles William Barnes of Jackson, Tenn.; two grandchildren; one brother and one sister; one brother preceded him in death April 1977. Services at the Smith Funeral Chapel in Jackson with the Revs. R.A. Bivens of the Hays Methodist Church and the Rev. James Simons officiating; burial in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Reported in Bell City notes; deceased out of state but tied to Bell City son.
