Resided in Dexter since June 1976. Born Oct. 11, 1898 at Dyersburg, Tenn.; spent childhood at Dyersburg and Hornersville, Mo. Married Florence Barth June 8, 1936 (d. Oct. 27, 1976). Survived by daughter Mrs. George (Betty) Ball of O'Fallon, Mo.; son LeRoy Cooper of Levittown, Pa.; brothers Reed Cooper of Dexter and Leslie and Archie Cooper of St. Louis County, Mo.; five grandchildren. Visitation after 2 p.m. Sunday at Chiles-Cooper chapel with Rev. George Cummins Jr., pastor of First Baptist Church of Dexter, officiating. Burial at Walker Cemetery, Rt. 3, Bloomfield.
