- 1977-08-17 Age 42; found face down on the bathroom floor at his mansion Graceland at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 1977, by road manager Joe Esposito. Shelby County medical examiner Dr. Jerry Francisco said an autopsy indicated Presley died of cardiac arrythmia [sic], described as a severely irregular heartbeat.
