- 1977-09-06 Dexter's Don Backfisch found something cool about the hot football night in Cape Girardeau Saturday. During the SEMO-Murray battle, Backfisch took a lick on the nose, and a team trainer held a bag of ice at the site for awhile. The heat--and Murray--took their toll, with the visitors whipping Cape, 13-6. Item in the 'neighbors' photo column.
