Feature on 16-year-old David Lorch of Advance, working daily after school at the family-owned quarter horse stables and arena in Advance (200x75 ft arena, largest between Memphis and St. Louis; stable area for 40 horses). Invited last month to show in Tulsa, Okla. at the American Junior Quarter Horse Association World Championship Show; travels AQHA-approved shows in Missouri and surrounding states working toward the Missouri high point trophy in youth and all-ages trail class. Father Leonard Lorch expanded the stables operation; David trains trail horses for neighbors.
